Today’s post is ways in which I’ve been trying to be more productive and become organised which was one of my New Years Resolutions.
- Get up early everyday (ok, most days). I’ve found that actually getting up early has really helped me become more productive; this is probably because I waste less time lying in bed. Having seminars at 1pm is all well and good until you waste half the day in bed, so getting up and ready at 8 or 9am gives me time to do some extra work or go to the gym.
- Create a to do list for each day or week. Writing a to do list every week has also really helped me as it actually helps you to focus and prioritise things which need doing soonest. I’ve learnt the hard way though not to put too many things on your to do list otherwise you just end feeling a bit rubbish if you haven’t completed it. This really cute notepad is from TK Maxx, which do quite a lot of new stationary if you’re on the lookout for some. I’ve also been making using of the desk planner I picked up in my Boots haul from the Zoella Lifestyle range. I definitely find having pretty stationary motivates me to be more organised.
- Tidy your room. This might just be me, but I find that when my room is messy it really affects my productivity. I find it a lot easier to do uni work or write my blog when my room is tidy for some reason.
- Create reminders on your phone. This is only something I’ve started doing recently as I set reminders to go to the gym or to meetings at uni to actually encourage me to go and also to remind me because I often forget.
Thanks for reading and I hope you find these ideas helpful. Let me know how you try to be more productive.
